Innovation & Inquiry for Student Learning
student Alverno College's campus will be closed July 27-August 3 for a campus-wide electrical upgrade. This IISL Web site will not be available during that time. The campus will reopen on August 4. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

What is Innovation and Inquiry for Student Learning?

This consortium-based project, funded by the Lumina Foundation for Education, focuses on collaborations among multiple community and technical colleges to investigate and identify how institutions can become more learning-centered. This website serves to describe this project and provide links to related sites of interest.

This website also serves as a resource to consortium members and as a venue for their ongoing dialogue about such topics as student learning outcomes and innovative practices that foster learning, retention, and persistence to degree.

IISL representatives from participating institutions have presented in a range of venues on topics related to the consortium. The slide show on Collaborative Inquiry in Consortia provides context to how we are working together as a consortium.

The project is coordinated by Alverno College's Educational Research and Evaluation department and the Alverno College Institute for Educational Outreach.
